Somers, Robb & Robb serves as General Counsel for Schools For Fair Funding, Inc., a Kansas non-profit corporation composed of member public school districts interested in Kansas school finance issues.

SFFF and its predecessor organization, SEEK, are the umbrella organizations that have sponsored school finance litigation in Kansas since the 1980s.

These organizations were responsible for sponsoring or defending the following school finance lawsuits in Kansas:

Petrella vs. Brownback
Montoy vs. State of Kansas
Robinson vs. State of Kansas
Mock vs. State of Kansas

The Gannon case was tried by Alan Rupe and John Robb in 2012 and resulted in additional reform of Kansas school finance laws and the injection of over $1,038,000,000 per year into Kansas public education. Gannon made seven trips to the Kansas Supreme Court.

The Montoy case was tried by Alan Rupe and John Robb in 2003 and resulted in the reform of Kansas school finance laws and the injection of over $756,000,000 per year into Kansas public education. Montoy made five trips to the Kansas Supreme Court.

The Petrella, Robinson and Mock cases were also tried by Alan Rupe and John Robb.
